THE CUTEST ENDANGERED MEXICAN AXOLOTLS

The Mexican Axolotls is a kind of salamander. This cute endangered species spends its complete life in larval form. This strange creature mainly found in Mexico’s Lake Xochimilco. It generally spends its life underwater. This creature looks bizarre. This is a very popular species of salamander and it is kept in labs of school and college. But this little creature has a special quality of generating its own body part.
It is also called the “peter pan” animals. The existence of this cute creature is in stake as the number of Axolotls is decreasing day by day. At least 1200 Mexican Axolotls are alive now as the lake water is draining to provide water to the nearby Mexican city. The number of this cute animal is decreasing due to the introduction of carp and tilapia.
The length of this cute creature generally remains in between 15 and 45 centimeter. The 30 centimeter salamanders are very rare. The head of these creatures are wide and the eyes are without eyelid. Their limbs remain undeveloped. The male salamanders could be identified by their swollen cloacae and the female salamanders have wider bodies full of eggs. There is three pair of external gill which helps to move oxygenated water. The Axolotls could live in temperature of 12 to 20 °C. Chlorine is very harmful for the Axolotls. They are carnivorous in nature  as they eat worm, insects, small fish etc.
