THE LONGEST FISH OF THE WORLD : OARFISH

The Oarfish is thought to be the world's longest bony fish, a group that includes almost all fish except sharks and rays ( whale sharks are the largest fish in the ocean). These fish can reach a length of over 50 feet (15 meters) and weigh as much as 6oo pounds (272 kilograms). The silvery fish are sometimes called the “king of herrings” because of their superficial resemblance to the smaller fish, but they are named oarfish because of their long pectoral fins, which resemble oars. Now, some are claiming that oarfish washing ashore is a sign that an earthquake will soon follow. Known scientifically as Regalecus glesne, it is a member of Regalecidae family of fishes. The name Regalecidae is derived from the Latin word regalis, meaning “royal”. The giant Oarfish was delineated in 1772. THE CUTEST ENDANGERED MEXICAN AXOLOTLS

The Mexican Axolotls is a kind of salamander. This cute endangered species spends its complete life in larval form. This strange creature mainly found in Mexico’s Lake Xochimilco. It generally spends its life underwater. This creature looks bizarre. This is a very popular species of salamander and it is kept in labs of school and college. But this little creature has a special quality of generating its own body part. It is also called the “peter pan” animals. The existence of this cute creature is in stake as the number of Axolotls is decreasing day by day.
