Woman gives birth to a bizarre baby

A woman (name -withheld) has given birth to an odd looking baby, looks like a frog. A woman of Ekiti State of Nigeria gave birth to strange boy.
This woman was pregnant for 13 months and she has undergone many physical tests in different private hospitals. Doctor assured that she would give birth of twins but as the baby appeared; its face was like a bombshell to all.

The condition of the boy is called Anencephaly. It is a cephalic deformity that causes neural tube defects. It occurs when the rostral end of the neural tube fails to close. It causes the absent of a large part of brain, skull. The largest part of the brain called cerebral hemispheres including the neocortex is absent. In most cases this type of disease related baby doesn't survive.

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and stroke presented likewise:

“A baby born with anencephaly is usually blind, deaf, unconscious, and unable to feel pain. Although some individuals with anencephaly may be born with a main brain stem, the lack of a functioning cerebrum permanently rules out the possibility of ever gaining consciousness. Reflex action such as breathing and responses to sound or touch may occur”
Dr. Wole Olugboji, the Health commissioner of State told :
“There was a woman who gave birth to a strange baby at General Hospital Iyin. The baby is dead but the mother is okay.”

Though it is said that neural tube defect is the main cause of this disease, the real cause is still unknown. Recently a frog like baby was born in Nepal. In USA this infants are displayed for public curiosity.

In Zimbabwe too teenager has given birth to a frog like baby. Its upper part of the body has frog like symbol but the remaining part of the body has the quality of human beings.  But the boy was died as soon as he came to the earth.
